Can hamsters dig in regular sand you find at the park?

i wouldn't recommend the TYPE of sand used at a park. try tissue, card board rolls like from the roll of tissue. they love chewing and shredding that. also wood blocks can work to keep their teeth trimmed. at stores you can even get flavored wood like apple wood or berry wood specially for rodents. also there is different types of bedding you can get that they will love to shred and make their home cozy.
