To take the morning after pill, or not to?

I am trying to figure out whether or not I should take the morning after pill because I have read so many conflicting things. Just trying to get some other opinions. My husband and I had unprotected sex on Sunday the 26th. The first day of my last period was Saturday the 18th. My periods are pretty irregular. I think I may be ovulating or getting ready to but can't be too sure. First I heard if you are already ovulating then it won't work, and if I have ovulated than I'm afraid to take it because it could be potentially harmful to the potential baby. But I want to take the morning after pill because we are not in a good place right now to have a bun in the oven as we are transitioning between jobs, moving, etc. ....What do you think should I take it or not???
