Is taking the pill vicatin bad?

sorry if i misspelled the name.. but anyway a friend and i are getting tattoos on our hip bones and ibe gotten tattoos before, but none with this much detail or as big. she suggested we take vicatin to ease the pain, but im not sure if its a good idea i heard alot of people have negative sideaffects to it beccause its a harmful drug.. any advice? thanks!
