How to cure a sore throat on a 5 year old NEED ANSWERS FAST!?

my little sister is 5 years old and has a harmful sore throat. It hurts when she swallows, eats, drinks, but not talking. She feels better once in a while but she says her throat still hurts. She was sick but still has a little fever. Everything else is cured except her throat. We have not been concerned enough to call the doctor but does anybody know some ways to help it? I gave her an ice pop to soothe the pain and she refuses to drink anything. We tried to give her a throat drop but she said it made it worse. She refuses to gargle with warm salt water either because she thinks it tastes "icky". Does anybody know ways to help the pain?
