1978 ford f150 having troubles with tcase and tranny?

Put rebuilt tranny and tcase in recently, when I put the truck in reverse or drive the rear driveshaft turns into drive and reverse but doesnt want to spin the rear axle. With the front hub caps locked the truck will drive with just the front driveshaft powering the truck but doesnt go into reverse with the hubs locked. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Its a Np 203 transfer case and a c6 tranny

Car driving question?

Have a question about stopping the car and pulling away. When I'm at traffic lights that are about to turn green or I'm stopping momentarily at a junction to wait for a car, I leave the handbrake down, I've been told to do that. When I'm pulling away with handbrake up I feel the bite easily because with the handbrake up I can feel the car trying to lurch forward, I drop clutch a fraction and then I'm at the bite. With the handbrake down I obviously don't get this lurch so I tend to go past the bite and stall. Any tips on finding the bite with handbrake down? Also if I've stopped the car for a sec am I supposed to take my right foot off the brake before I find the bite with my left foot, or keep right foot on the brake until I find the bite, then move right off brake and move it to accelerator when I want to move off, I'm scared of rolling.

Ford dealership 07 focus?

I was driving in a parking lot and as I was approaching a round about in the back of a parking lot the car lurched forward really fast and started accelerating it got up to about forty five and I slammed on the breaks the car slowed down but it wasn't enough to make the turn. I panicked slammed the car into park causing my transmission to strip. I hit a curb but it was still hard enough that it broke the front axel and pushed the right front passenger tire into he wheel well causing body damage. 1996 suzuki intruder clutch problem?

I just bought a 96 intruder and after riding it when put into gear it would slightly lurch forward but when the clutch lever was released the clutch would not engage. I would sit there in gear as if I was in neutral. I changed the fluid and bled the line. When doing I would squeeze the lever, open the bleeder valve (fluid would shoot out 3-4 inches and then stop), only about .5 ounce of fluid would come out. After doing this the clutch seemed to work for about another 30 miles and then it did it again. Any ideas about what then problem might be?

Need insight about my drinking and dope?

I have had similar problems myself and I know the feeling of being unmotivated by everything and feeling that the only thing I actually want to do (writing) is an unattainable dream and I will have to just settle for something else. I found that making lists of what I would like to achieve helps me to set goals and become more motivated. For instance, I really want to travel and so am now working a job I don't like to achieve this. This way I have something to work towards, a goal, and it makes the job less depressing. I also found that there are ways, other then weed and alcohol, to get inspiration. I found joining a creative writing group helpful and is also good for meeting like minded people. I am usually extremely private and self conscious about my writing and not exactly the "sharing is caring" type but I was really surprised at how useful it was and how much it motivated me. You mentioned that you taught in the past. Would you consider studying to teach creative writing and so combining your vocation in life with something practical that could bring in some money while still allowing you time to work on your own stories? The leader of the group I was part of said she formed it in the first place so that she could bounce her ideas off the group members and get some feedback. Start sending your stories into competitions which will also give you deadlines and maybe even some cash prizes! Local online discussion forums often have threads giving details of upcoming competitions. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what anyone on here says to you. You have to sit down and work out what you want to achieve. You've got 4 years until you're 40, why not set that as a deadline? Find out what you need to do to achieve your goals and do it. I recently bought my 2006 nissan altima with 56k miles. It sometimes takes a while to start (7 seconds holding the key in ignition) and sometimes it takes 2 tries to start. It doesn't hurt. It gives you a smooth transition between gears. As for depress the clutch all the way in, you don't have too. You need to find a sweet spot where the clutch let you shift. Normally, I depress the clutch about 1/2 to 3/4 in and shifting gears. It is a lot faster shifting than depressing all the way in. One thing, you can always shift from gear to neutral without having to depress the clutch.

Van shakes when accelerating?

(GMC panel Van) The problem started when I pulled up to a light and came to a complete stop, when the light turned green I tried to accelerate but pressing down the pedal made the whole van shake pretty violently and it barely accelerated. I tried letting it coast for a while and pulling over to check the transmission fluid and some other fluids everything was normal,, I did notice one other thing when idling in park pressing the accelerator does not make the van shake, it just revs the engine, it only shakes in the drive position. I left the car alone until today (about 6 days) so it wouldn't break or get worse. When I went to move my car for street sweeping this morning it was wobbling (that's really the only word I can think of) switching from park to reverse to drive made the van lurch a little bit (even with my foot on the break) and as it moved (I didn't press the accelerator just let it drift) it was wobbling side to side a bit .... whats goin on any ideas?

What's Wrong With Me At The Moment? Sharp Pain/Ache?

It only started about a half hour gao, I was in the car eating a mcflurry (not sure if this has anything to do with it but every detail is helpful right!) and I go tone of those pains thats almost indescribably, it starts around the lower back area and affects your whole abdomen. Anyways, I thought I just needed to change my posture so I sat on my foot, but that didn't change anything. I tried walking for a while but I walked with a bit of a lurch, if I stood upright it would spark up the pain. So now im on my computer and I still feel it. I am trying to figure out whether or not I should take the morning after pill because I have read so many conflicting things. Just trying to get some other opinions. you should be fine i brought a cat home from my parents after it had been fed grocery store food for like 4 years, and switched her to the innova as well she LOVES it although hated the soft food at first. they will likely eat less because it is more nourishing so it fills them up faster just follow the directions on the package for their age/weight group and they'll be fine. It shouldn't be detrimental at all many cats live to be in their 20s eating grocery store blends their whole lives. but the first thing you will probably notice in them is the change to their coats they will get so nice a shiney from the human quality food.

So, about a month or two ago, i found out that my best friends little sister (who is like my little sister), has seizures and has something along the lines of epilepsy. 2000 Honda Accord, car died, electrical & transmission problems, 197k miles?

As a long time honda lover/ drive that doesnt sound anything like the typical honda. The person before you must have screwed it up pretty good but i would say all the lights coming arnt arnt just a couisidence its most likely just all starting to recognize the problems now because sometimes the ecu take a while to detect them. One thing is for the brake lamp light/ this has nothing to do with brake performance all this means is that most likely one of your tailights is broke or burnt out, as soon as you replace it with the right bulb it should turn itself off. For the abs it will most likely be a (WSS) which is a wheel speed sensor which just uses a magnet to detect the wheel speed so when one wheel locks up while all the others are spinning it will automaticall pump the brakes for you to keep that wheel from locking up which is the point of ABS, this is a common problem in all cars which ABS unfortunantly hondas to. And unfortunantly i hate to tell you this but the person that wrecked it probably screwed up the tranny pretty bad, your only hope is check the tranny fluid level and hopefully all it is is that its to low because cars do have a safety that shuts it off if the tranny fluid is to low so that it doesnt ruin the transmission but it maybe just isnt shutting the car the whole way off because its probably not working right because of the wreck. I hope that works but if not its probably the tranny. Just keep in mind that any honda has potential so any money that you put into it will more the be worth it. Hope this helps Good luck!

It sounds silly, but I'm been bullied at college.?

I know by college things like this shouldn't happen, but I'm been bullied by people in my class. I'm in a wheelchair due to spinal cord syrinx, and these people in my tutor group keep grabbing the handles on my chair when I go past to make me lurch into the wall and putting their feet infront of my wheels. Why is my car stalling in the rain?

I had an issue with my car dying, following some "clicking madness" under the dashboard. It turned out that my coolant was empty (oops) and after I fixed that it seemed like everything was ok (they flushed the coolant tank and it was leak-free). However, I have noticed that since then when I am driving in the rain my car will start to sputter and die when I have to hit the brake. If I rev the engine it chugs a few times and lurches back into gear but if I can't rev the engine (rush hour traffic anyone?) - it dies. It seems like it is fine in regular weather. Given that the carb has been cleaned out and you've had the plugs and leads changed, I'd go for replacing the ignition amplifier unit. They can be ok one second and then cause the problems you describe the next second. No easy way to test an ignition amplifier without replacing it. Ignition coil can also provide similiar symptoms but can be tested with a multimeter. Hard to diagnose without seeing the car of course. Good luck.

Car still idling crazy and lurching after alot of work already?

Is it extremely harmful to feed my beardie bigger crickets than the space between his eyes? Reptar is about 6 and a half inches long and between his eyes is a half inch. check and see if the a/c compressor is locking up. even if she wasn't using the a/c if she was using defrost it still could be it. if it's acting up that would explain the squeal. it would drag the engine down making it hard to accelerate. plus when it let go engine would accelerate sudden.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo lurches when driving?

I haven't had many problems with the car until recently. When I'm driving and going a steady speed sometimes accelerating in first or second gear, the car will lurch a few times. It feels as though the engine isn't getting enough fuel. I took it to a mechanic I know and he said to try and change the fuel filter. Problem is I was told the fuel filter is integrated into the pump. So if I want to replace the filter I have to replace the whole pump. Someone suggested I put in high octane fuel. My yorkie tried to bite a child, please help?

WHY?! every dog i have ever owned has never bit anyone! could it be that he was on edge because his 'mommy' (me) was on vacation? any tips on preventing this... So i have a 2003 chevy malibu, and recently it has been making a weird chitty chitty bang bang kinda noise when it is idling like at a stop light. It's hard to say what exactly it is. Everything is so close together. Some people don't need their wisdom teeth out because their mouths are big enough. You may have an abscess in that tooth. It would be at the root of the tooth. I would try going to a general dentist. Not oral surgery. All dentist are specialists from the neck up. It could be an infection that could go from the tooth to the ear. Look up the antibiotic and see if it treats both. Not all do. I wish I had an answer being in pain when no one knows what's wrong would be very frustrating! Even more without health insurance. I would ask more about the roots of the teeth maybe that might help? Maybe go to a different dr and get a second opinion if finically you can. Both ear and tooth infections are painful! I hope they can help soon.

Can biofuel-run vehicles still leave harmful emissions?

These vehicles are still cars and trucks and such. They still have engines that burn a hydrocarbon for fuel. So they still need lubricants and antifreeze, for example. Nothing has changed except the fuel used does not contribute to excess CO2 in the atmosphere, as long as the biomass is constantly replenished - ie: we keep growing the stuff that we turn into biofuel. But as far as everything else, they're still cars and trucks and buses, and I see no reason to believe we won't get the same pollution from them as we always have. The CO2 component of that pollution was always effectively unnoticeable to humans until we developed instruments to measure such things. CO2 itself is colorless and odorless, so we don't notice it without instruments, or until it has built up so much it starts poisoning living things, and then we just notice the effects, not the CO2.

Why Don't More People Visit Big Bend National Park?

I just went to Big Bend National Park in Texas and think it's a fantastic place to visit. The mountains (the Chisos) , desert (Chihuahuan) and river (the Rio Grande) are so beautiful and educational. Sure, it's over 4 hours of driving from any major town or city, one with a commercial airport (Midland, TX) but the Yosemite NP is 3 1/2 hours away from San Francisco/Oakland or Sacramento and yet it's much better known and more frequently visited. Is it because Texas does not know how or does not want to promote a national park within its borders? California promotes the national parks in its state because more tourists to those parks means more dollars brought in to California.

With 'on and off' depression, I don't understand why you want to see a therapist in the first place. You said it yourself that nothing is wrong with you now. You see, everybody has depression at times, and so do you, but that doesn't mean you need to run to a therapist or a doctor because that depression goes away on its own. It's when you've been depressed for several weeks, non-stop, and it's affecting your life in general that you should seek professional help. You don't fit in that category.

Can u sue a Nurse Practioner for the wrong Diagonsis?

My mom had me take her to the ER friday night at 5pm due to having numbness in her left arm/hand.She had tingling as well and couldnt hold anything etc.We had a NP who took all her info.med info and did all he stats.The NP did everything in Triage and we Never went to a reg room.He told mom she has Carpal Tunnel gave her a brace.Mom told him she was afraid it was a stroke and he said if it was she would be dead by now.We left the Er the next night moms driving changed where she was all over the road,by the night time she was forgetting to shut the fridge,shutting the tap off etc.Sunday morning we went back to the ER after she called her own Dr and he said to go back.They took her info moved her into a reg room and did a CT.They CT showed a stroke so she was admitted.She talked to a Nurologist and she told mom her stroke happened tuesday so them telling her she had Carpal Tunnel was wrong and they should have done further testing.Can you actually sue the NP cause he didn't do any testing with her claims?? She talked to 1 lawyer and he said No,but this is clearly a case with evidence that it happened prior to her first visit in the ER.

Why does my truck lurch forward when i accelerate or come to a stop?

I noticed today that my 2WD truck was lurching forward as i was pulling out of the driveway. it has done this before no matter if i start or stop. generally it happens when i either accelerate or come to a stop regardless of the temperature. there is no set pattern to it, so it is just out of the blue. sometimes it does it when i back up and go forward and vise versa or just backing up or going forward. any ideas on the cause of the problem?

i wouldn't recommend the TYPE of sand used at a park. try tissue, card board rolls like from the roll of tissue. they love chewing and shredding that. also wood blocks can work to keep their teeth trimmed. at stores you can even get flavored wood like apple wood or berry wood specially for rodents. also there is different types of bedding you can get that they will love to shred and make their home cozy.

Well i had the same issue. What you need to do is separate them and take a super light scented deodorant or something similar and put it on your hands then pet both pigs with the same scent. Reintroduce them and they won't be able to smell a difference between themselves. because they can't smell a difference they won't know who is dominant any more. it worked for me but you still have to work to get them to like each other. also separating them for as long as possible, but still keeping them close, like putting them in 2 different cages side by side is a good idea. Also letting them on the floor or a large open space with several hiding spots and the food and water in one area will allow them to run away from eachother but they will still have to be together when they want to eat. try tempting them to stand together by hand feeing them grass on your lap. hope this helps!

What is wrong with my stomach? I've had this for MONTHS!?

So, It started off having reallly intense stomach pain and throwing up. I was rushed to the hospital twice because of it. Now it is happening more often. No matter what I eat, or drink, or do I get sick. It is like food poisening but about 10 times worse. Now it happened again today. It starts with my stomach just being upset. Then pretty soon it feels like my stomach is lurching then I get sick. Sometimes it comes with extreme dizziness and headaches and shakes, sometimes it doesn't. It comes in waves also. I will fell very sick one minute and the next I feel fine. The doctors have taken ultra-sounds of my stomach, upper GI's and many many other GI tests. They can not find anything. Some days I won't eat any thing at all and I still get sick. What could be wrong??

Dog trainers/owners. i need your advice!!!?

This is a training issue. You should never let your dog off leash until you have trained him to come when you call, and he is consistently doing it, no matter how many distractions are around. This is not so hard to do, but it takes time and effort and patience. You could definitely do it yourself. There are a lot of websites that will give you good instructions. I have a 48 foot lead that I use for this. When the dog comes consistently on a 16 foot lead, then I use a 32 foot lead, so he is further from me and feels as if he is free. Then I add in distractions, like doing it near a playground where there are children. If he still comes on my command, I go to the 48 foot lead. (actually I have 3 leads, each 16 feet, and I add them together over time) Until my dog comes to me, no matter what else is going on, I do not let him off leash. Just doing this training with your dog will settle him down considerably. It sounds as if you have insisted on manners inside the house, but not outside. Now you just need to do the same thing for outside. An out-of-control dog is not fun for anyone, and you will probably have little trouble training yours, since you have done a good job on the indoors training part. Good luck!

Trouble using the clutch..?

I was doing s motorcycle course this morning and I was enjoying my self and was doing pretty good. I was riding around in first gear. Then we started this next exercise which was riding our clutch snd going through pylons. I found it hard. I let my clutch out to much or not enough...I didn't stall it but the bike lurched forward on me twice when I was doing my left turn in the figure 8. I scared my self and went home. I really want to ride a motorcycle and I already regret leaving but I just couldn't figure out that dam clutch. Anyone got any pointers and does it ever get easier? Why doest lurch me forward like that?

I think i have ghost issues!?

Well, to be honest, weird things happen in my house. I live in our 4 room basement, with my younger brother. My older sister, who is 22, had weird, creepy dreams when she slept in the basement, before she moved out. THe dreams ALWAYS consisted of a little boy with no eyes who got run over by a train and our house was built over his body! (CREEPY!) And weird things happen all the time, such as; Knocking noises, lights flickering, scratching, things being moved, doors left shut being opened, and sometimes, late, late into the night if Your still awake, freaking bloody murder screams, like someone is murdering people in my house! I always check, and no on es there. Its not harmful, because no body's been "Attacked" or scratched, or bitten, but these have been hap pending for years now but get worse with time. Ghost, or am i crazy? My brother gets scared alot too, so im not the only one. please help? And what can i do to prevent the ghost being here? I am considering to convert my swimming pool to salt water pool. Does it ruin my pool equipment easily?

I went to the doctor today. The receptionist was gossiping about a former employee with some one else on the phone. She saw I was listening and stopped right away. Then I go into my room the nurse asks what's why am I here. So I tell her. Then she goes outside to the the nursing station. The nursing station is open like an orthodontist office. There is really no privacy. Her and the other nurses start talking amongst themselves. I can hear them through my door talking about other patients. They say where is Jim or Jeff he is supposed to see the doctor and he's not here now. Somone replies he left, but I think he came back and is up front. So someone calls his cell. He answers and a nurse tells him the doctor is ready. He must have asked about a prescription and the nurse says loudly we told you already the last time you were here your blood lab for your thyroid came back abnormal. The doctor told you he would have to see you again and draw your blood. Then he said something and the nurse replied back well now we'll have to wait for life care to send everything over. Then she hangs up. She says every month we go through the same thing with this guy. Then the nurses start gossiping. I hear the door to the room next to me open. Then I hear my rn tell the nurse practitioner about me. She told her I said a former employee had told me to come back. I needed testing done to make sure I didn't have strep, cryptic tonsils or something more serious. The nurse said when I asked her if she had any symptoms she said no. She then said quote "and I'm like why are you here then." My nurse practitioner agreed, then opened my door laughing. She acted like I was wasting her time based off of what the nurse had told her. The reason why I was there was to determine if I had strep, cryptic tonsil, or something more serious. I was told to come back, I wasn't trying to waste their time. In a week from now if my throat doesn't change and I go back I'm sure they'll say why weren't you tested.I have never seen this NP before and I don't count on seeing her again. She didn't even want to do testing and told me so. After she said I don't want to do testing and made it very clear I was wasting her time she had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to do testing. So I said no based off of how she was acting. Before I left she said is there anymore questions I said no but I do want to let you know people can hear everything you are saying outside of their door and I heard what your nurse said about me. This is an ongoing thing with this office. At first I thought it was standard procedure that the nurses talk openly about patients like that. Until today, when I looked up HIPAA laws for myself. It says they should only give out info that is necessary.My nurse didn't have to tell the NP she felt I didn't need to be there. It also says it protects anything you say to your provider orally. So they can't go and tell any one else what you have told them unless you give them permission. I didn't give my nurse permission. I have never been treated this way before by any other doctors office. The nurses don't talk about patients in the nurse area. They also stay with the doctor and let the doctor know what the symptoms are while you are present or they just hand off your chart to the doctor. No other nurses I have seen have ever told my NP my symptoms without me present. I know they may not have violated the HIPAA laws with me but they did with the other patient Jim or Jeff. If I could hear what they said about him I'm sure the other patient could too.
